At the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on Wednesday, the four-time champion Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will play host to the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). In their nine games thus far, CSK has won five and lost four. After two losses in a row, they will use the upcoming game against LSG as an opportunity to turn things around. This season, CSK has already defeated LSG in Chennai.
In their last match, CSK was unable to defend 200 runs, but since the action will now take place in Lucknow rather than Chepauk, the situation will be quite different. The two previous games in Lucknow were low-scoring affairs in which the home team LSG failed to pursue the objective on both occasions.
Given the difficult batting conditions, the management will be counting on Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway to put on a strong performance.
Ajinkya Rahane and Shivam Dube have also contributed, scoring 264 and 224 runs, respectively.
Two essential players from the CSK camp will be Ravindra Jadeja and Moeen Ali since they excel in all categories equally well.
Ambati Rayudu is now on the bench after failing to make an impression as a replacement.
Maheesh Theekshana and Matheesha Pathirana, a Sri Lankan team, have achieved success. Theekshana may be replaced by one person, however, and that guy is Mitchell Santner. Although Tushar Deshpande has taken the most wickets for the CSK team so far, he has also given up more than eleven runs per over.
CSK probable lineup vs. LSG:
Openers: Devon Conway and Ruturaj Gaikwad
Ajinkya Rahane, Shivam Dube, and MS Dhoni (c and wk) make up the top and middle orders.
Moeen Ali and Ravindra Jadeja are all-arounders.
Mitchell Santner is a spinner.
Tushar Deshpande, Matheesha Pathirana, and Akash Singh are Pacers.
